Time vs Quality Calculator — Layer Height Comparison
Compare print time at different layer heights and speed settings.
How We Calculate This
Formula
- Layers = Model height / Layer height
- Fine speed = Base speed x 0.7 (slower for quality)
- Draft speed = Base speed x 1.2 (faster for draft)
- Time = Layers x Time per layer x Speed factor
Fine layers require slower speeds for quality. Draft layers can print faster because each layer is thicker and individual layer quality matters less.
