How much faster is draft quality?

Draft (0.3mm layers) typically prints 2-3x faster than fine (0.1mm layers) for the same part. The layers will be more visible but structural strength is similar.

Does layer height affect strength?

Layer height has minimal effect on tensile strength. Thicker layers may actually give slightly better layer adhesion. Wall thickness and infill percentage matter far more for strength.

When should I use fine layers?

Use 0.1mm or lower for visible surfaces that need to look smooth, miniatures, and parts with fine details. For functional parts hidden from view, draft quality saves hours.
